Deer Photography Workshops

Red/Fallow Deer Workshop
The workshops are based at Bradgate Park,in Leicestershire. This park supports a wild herd of around 200 Fallow and 120 Red Deer and these deer are slightly more acclimatized to humans and sometimes pre-occupied during the rut, making them easier to get close to.
I have been a licensed photographer in the park for 6 years and I know where we can get close to the Deer, whether it is crossing the river at a crossing point, favourite Deer wallow or their favoured rutting stands. The workshops run from 6.30am till around 4pm with a break for a cooked breakfast around 10.00am(included in price) and numbers are limited to just 5 people to ensure that you get lots of time for tuition.
You will need a minimum 400mm lens, a tripod/ monopod (for the morning session) or if shooting handheld a lens with image stabilisation, walking boots and a waterproof camera cover.
Over the course of the full day we will walk 6-7 miles, so a resonable level of fitness is required.
On booking you will be sent booking confirmation, joining instructions and details on camera settings etc.
If you are buying this as a gift then a Gift Voucher is available, simply request when purchasing.
Photographs taken on these workshops have been Shortlisted for Outdoor Photographer of the Year-Wildlife insight Category in both 2015 and 2016.
Unfortunately due to a backlog of Residential Landscape Workshop commitments from 2020 I will not be running Deer Workshops in 2021and will return to running workshops in 2022.
