Wildlife One to One Photography Workshops

Peak District Workshops

The Peak District is a hotpot of great Landscape Photography locations and offers the opportunity to get some outstanding shots whilst learning the key elements of Landscape Photography.

I run workshops in the Peak District in September and early November with September being great a month for potential cloud inversions at sunrise and early November being a great time to catch the last of the Autumn colours with lots of fallen leaves but with some colour still on the trees

The September workshops start at 6am as we get ourselves in a location to shoot sunrise and run until 2.30pm, with a break for lunch at 12.00 and the November workshops start at 8.30am and finish at 4.30pm with a break for lunch at 12.30pm where we focus on Autumn colours, streams, trees etc but will shoot as the sunsets.

For the September workshops you require a moderate level of fitness as we will walk at least 6 miles over the course of the day and will encounter some fair climbs to places such as Mam Tor,Winnats Pass or Curbar Edge..

The November workshops are easier in terms of fitness and we may well walk 4 miles over the course of the day, we walk mostly on made up paths but venture off the paths to get some of the best shots and may visit Padley Gorge,Bolehill,Froggat Edge etc

During these workshops we will provide tuition on composition, covering lead in lines, shot framing, rule of thirds etc and tuition on use of filters / exposure blending etc. During the lunch break we will have the chance to review some shots and discuss Lightroom for processing.

It is important to have the correct clothing for this time of year, a waterproof jacket and some sturdy walking boots etc
